Dr. Smith is a caring dentist who grew up in Bradenton, Florida. He graduated from Lakewood Ranch High school and attended dental school at the University of Florida. In Gainesville he gained two passions: doing clinical dentistry, and his love of the Florida Gators! While in dental school at UF he excelled in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry, which allowed him to help many patients get their dream smile. Dr. Smith graduated with honors in the top 10 percent of his class at UF. After practicing in North Port, Florida for two years it was time to work closer to home.

Dr. Smith is the new owner of Sterling Dental and he is very excited for the opportunity to treat patients in his home town. Dr. Smith recently married his dental school sweetheart and is enjoying his first year of marriage. His wife Jade is also a dentist working in the local community. He has two cats, Lydia and Meeko, and a Yorkie named Sadie. When Dr. Smith is not at the office he enjoys fishing, paddle boarding, and spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Smith is passionate about providing the highest quality dental care by utilizing the most advanced techniques and materials.

Dr. Smith strives to offer a pain-free, comfortable dental experience. Dr. Smith believes through patient education, and proper preventive care, his patients can have healthy smiles for life.

Phyllis Smith is originally from New York and attended SUNY at Farmingdale for her AS degree in Dental Hygiene. She has lived in Sarasota since 1990. Having over 35 years of experience as a hygienist shows her true passion for what she does. When not working she enjoys spending time with her three adult children, gardening and walking.

Georgette Stein is a Florida native born and was raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Dade College-Medical Center Campus and upon graduation received the Most Outstanding Clinician award. With over twenty-five years of experience in dental hygiene we are very fortunate to have such a gentle and qualified dental team member. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm to maintain high and current standards in the profession are truly appreciated by her patients and dental team. Georgette in her spare time loves being outdoors fishing, bicycling, walking and spending it with friends and family. She resides in Sarasota with her husband and her sheltie named Lassie.

Nita has been in the dental field for over fifteen years, starting as an oral surgery assistant and now working as the office manager at Sterling Dental. Nita was born and raised in Sarasota. When Nita is not at work helping patients, she likes to spend time with her son, and also enjoys swimming and gardening. One of her favorite pastime’s is bingeing on a good Netflix show!
